KritiKal Attends the Industry-Academia Meet-Up

Noida, April 10, 2019: KritiKal Solutions, a Technology pioneer in the Vision Systems space, recently attended the Industry-Academia meet-up held on 28th March at Delhi Technological University, Delhi. This workshop was co-located with the first International Conference on Signal Processing VLSI and Communication Engineering which ran from 28th to 30th March. The Meet-up envisioned to bring together academicians, research and industry professionals to share their innovative ideas, state-of-the-art issues, challenges, and groundbreaking achievements in the areas of Intelligent Vehicles and Intelligent Transportation Systems. 

The Industry-Academia converge invited distinguished guests namely Prof. Mohan M Trivedi from the University of California San Diego, USA, Prof. M. Balakrishnan & Prof. S.C. Dutta Roy from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India and Prof. G N Srinivasa Prasanna, International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore, India, to shed light on how research and innovation happening around ITS has developed and been deployed to help improve transportation systems. Top representatives from KritiKal Solutions including Mr. Dipinder Sekhon (CEO) and Dr. Aditi Kapoor (Technology Head) attended the workshop to reinforce their industry-academia relationship in the space of Intelligent Transportation.

During the event, KritiKal got the opportunity to meet Mr. Saraf from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to get to know about his research & industry collaboration in the development of transportation infrastructure. The workshop took shape with thought-provoking conversations & talks emphasizing on the need for fostering an industry-academia collaboration.

KritiKal, who is aimed at slashing down city traffic chaos, congestion & improving surveillance through its state-of-the-art products such as KLiPR (KritiKal’s License Plate Recognition System) and TRAZER (Traffic Analyzer and Enumerator), received the encouragement to become a member of IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology. In addition, KritiKal obtained the membership of IEEE’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Society (ITSS) which focused on utilizing synergistic technologies and systems engineering concepts/methods to develop and improve transportation systems.

Expressing his thoughts on becoming a member of the reputed IEEE ITSS, Mr. Dipinder Sekhon, CEO, KritiKal said, “We at KritiKal keep innovating to develop groundbreaking technology and vision systems which aid in uplifting our transportation system. The ITSS membership will help us to expand our peer network where a large pool of Technology and Engineering professionals work together to continuously learn, interact, collaborate, and innovate.
